LoLo's gone Vintage!

LoLo's gone Vintage!, originally uploaded by rockandcookies.

We went to Abode on 9th east last Saturday afternoon, and Lo was consistently attracted to animal figurines from the 50s. The poodle was the first thing she fell in love with, and after seeing tons of colorful woodland creatures all over the place, she decided that the pink thing was a fox (rather than a kitten) and it needed to come home with her. It has holes in the top because it was a salt shaker in its former life. Lo was lamenting its lack of a mate to the shop owner, who suggested that since it was lonely and not for kitchen use anymore, it should probably be used to shake glitter onto art projects.

It makes me feel happy inside that Lo has her own sense of style and taste. These things aren't like the vintage stuff I collect, so it's neat that she's starting a collection of kitschy stuff that can be added to easily by everyone who loves her!

I love Lo!

Um, Abode sounds like it's going to be my new favorite place. :)
