Saturday nights are usually our date night. Sometimes we fall asleep and forget to even eat dinner. Sometimes we have adventures. Last night was adventure night!
We decided to just go off galavanting and see where we ended up. Of course we ended up at Thrift Town! While we were looking for Pyrex (we struck out) Daniel found the acrylic napkin holder and because it says "Toronto" he announced that it should be sent to my friend Randy who lives in that area. I texted Randy and told himthat we'd found a piece of Canada in the US and were going to mail it home. He agreed that pieces of Canada belong in Canada.
It's no secret that I am a sucker for nutty costume jewelry. Three new presents for me! Grand Total? Six bucks.
We went out to dinner at La Puente (which resulted in a Burrito Hat Trick for Daniel since he'd had burritos for both breakfast and lunch), then drove around exploring. We decided to drive up to Brighton because they were doing fireworks. The fireworks were amazing. Not the biggest show I've ever seen but certainly the best, because of the proximity. They rained down almost right on the small crowd of people.
On the way home we explored some more, then went to Sonic for a treat because of course ice cream is a great idea on a winter night. Even better idea? Ice cream and Tater Tots. YUM.
Then, because date nights are so romantic and we're such lovebirds, we came home and fell asleep on the sofa.
