Overheard: Girl and guy friend conversation, girl is lamenting a relationship that went down the toilet.
Girl: I really loved him. Like, I thought one day we might even get married.
Guy: Did you ever tell him that?
Girl: No.
Guy: Maybe you should have.
My internal reaction: I've got a wall the size of Texas, and maybe it's time to shrink it to the size of one of those small New England states.

It's hard to shrink the wall, particularly if you've been hurt before.
The good news? I think that women who've been hurt once or twice can differentiate between the guys that are worth shrinking the walls for, and the guys who deserve to be tossed back over it.
