Thanksgiving!

Yesterday we went to my dads for Thanksgiving, as has become the tradition in recent years. Lo and I made a peach pie and I have to say it was a whole lot more pretty than last year's blueberry pie. We're getting better! We transported the pie, along with some other treats, stuffing which we volunteered to bring because it's Daniel's favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner and I wanted to guarantee its meat-freeness, and a Quorn brand Turk'y roast which was actually very good despite its strange film wrapping. Way better than Tofurkey. Actually anything that's edible is better than Tofurkey in my opinion so it wasn't hard to beat.

After dinner little Luke was anxious to go outside and we had to have some discussion as to which adult would go with him. He voted for Lora and argued "She IS big" when told that he needed a big person to go with him. Finally Daniel was somehow convinced to go out, but Grandpa Bill went out shortly after to practice his fly fishing and the kids joined in.
Lora had fun playing with Luke, and she pretended to be a fish while he practiced fishing for her. She was a very colorful fish, so I can totally see why he wanted to catch her. After Grandpa's we went to see if "Christmas Street" was set up yet, but it wasn't. Our decorations have all been brought up from downstairs thanks to Daniel, but we haven't opened the boxes yet. Hooray for the weekend!
